Releasing a Whiteshell River Rainbow

Dale with his beautiful Manitoba Rainbow.

"On the September Outing to Whiteshell Provincial Park we fished Camp Lake. I trolled a black bead-head Woolly Bugger and also fished a green Olive Woolly Bugger. I caught two fish, one was my very first Master Angler, a 22-in. rainbow the other one was 21 in. The fishing was slow at first but picked up in the afternoon on that day. There were three Master Anglers caught, my two and husband John caught one of 24 in. Bob Migliore caught several in the 17-18 in. range. It was a small turnout that weekend with only three of us there, but it was a great day in all." Bette Nabozniak

Kingfisher Lake was a conservation activity that the MFFA is proud to have been a part of.  It is a wonderful fishery located just minutes from Winnipeg.

The aerators at Kingfisher Lake begin their supply of oxygen.

A well designed wheelchair access dock ensures that everyone gets a chance to fish.
