Calgary Hook and Hackle Club The Hook & Hackle Club is based in Calgary, Alberta Canada and was formed in 1954, registered as a non profit society in 1957. The Club is dedicated to the enjoyment of all aspects of flyfishing with special emphasis on fly tying.

The Crowsnest Angler The Crowsnest Angler fly shop is located in the town of Bellevue in the Crowsnest Pass which is in Alberta. Vic Bergman, part owner and manager, did a seminar for the MFFA a number of years ago. This site features an up-to-date fishing report on the Crowsnest River including occurring hatches and recommends fly patters to use. Several members of the MFFA have fished the Crowsnest and the site should be a valuable source of information for anyone planning a trip out there.

Hatches Magazine Hatches magazine is a new magazine focusing on fly tying, both artistice and practical tying. Its premier issue is now out, and well worth checking out.

Manitoba Fly Fishing Discussion Board Robert Burton has set up a new fly fishing message board, to replace the earlier Yahoo web-based discussion group. This new board has separate groups for fly tying, fishing reports, etc. There is also a chat session on Thursday nights.

Orkney Trout Fishing Association The OTFA is a non-profit making voluntary body dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of game fishing throughout the Orkney Islands. (Editor's note: There is a strong historical link between the province of Manitoba and the Orkney Islands - during the heyday of the fur trade, the Hudson's Bay Company counted many Orkneymen among its employees.)
