Tying Procedure
  1. Tie in underside marabou for tail; tie down entire length of shaft for body.

  2. Tie on 6-8 strands of flashabou for mid section of tail; ensure enough is left for body line.

  3. Split flashabou into equal portions and tie back so it appears to be in middle of each side.

  4. Tie in upper portion of marabou tail.

  5. Tie in heavier end of saddle hackle at tail.

  6. Dub in fur or chenille and wrap for entire length of body

  7. Bring forward flashabou along middle of one side and tie off at head.

  8. Bring forward flashabou along middle of other side and tie off at head.

  9. Wrap saddle hackle evenly from tail to head and tie off.

  10. Pull extra flashabou back over body and wrap head to hold back flashabou at approximately 45 angle (like wings)

  11. Finish head and cement.

  12. Clip flashabou at same length as hackle.

Notes The woolly bugger has been my most fruitful trout provider no matter where I fished. It's great for rainbows in Barbie Lake.
